BUILD A BETTER WORLD SUMMER READING KICKOFF EVENT

Mark your calendar for June 10, and set the alarm for 11:00 a.m. because the Build A Better World Summer Reading Kickoff Event is set to blast off!

Channel your inner, mad-scientist at our Lego building station, delve into the world of electronics at the snap circuits table, get all crafty with tool lacing cards, and build some stupendous structures with fish blocks.

Our popular duck pond will be back. Kids of all ages can build to their hearts content with pretzel sticks and marshmallows then eat their creations.

While the young’uns are fabricating fun, parents can sign them up for our great Summer Reading Program.

This year’s theme is “Build A Better World”, and the library will offer something for every age group from preschoolers to teens.

Some of the delightful county wide events are; International Border Collies Show, Penny’s Puppets, and the Dragon Theatre.

But wait, there’s more!  How about building your own tiny town, having a nature scavenger hunt, playing communication games, doing sun and moon experiments, stop me I’m going to explode!

Take a breath, 'cause we haven’t even touched on all the great story times, craft events, or the Adult Summer Reading Program designed for parents and their kids.

Strap on your tool belt, pack your abacus, grab an extra set of blueprints and Build A Better World all summer long at the good old Seaside Library, conveniently located at 1131 Broadway.  For more information call (503)738-6742 or visit us at www.seasidelibrary.org
