LEARN TO PLAY THE UKULELE AT SEASIDE PUBLIC LIBRARY

 

Learn to play and sing on the uke in one hour!

Kate & Steve will show you how with a fun, simple method to get you started on uke for a lifetime of enjoyment Saturday, May 13th at 1:00pm at the Library.

Thirty loaner ukes are available and workshop seating is limited.

ukalalien:n. a new converted ukulele player prone to singing and strumming on the ukulele, spurred to spontaneous acts of music and song singing, both alone and with others, regardless of setting or circumstances, thereby creating a euphoric sense of wellbeing.

Kate Power and Steve Einhorn are lifelong musicians, teachers, songwriters, performers, artists and community builders with folk music and art. Kate & Steve were featured guests of Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion, have won the Grand Prize for 'Travis John' and "songs that make a difference" at the Music2Life awards at Kerrville Folk Festival. They have shared shows, music and stages with iconic luminaries including Pete Seeger and Tom Paxton among others. Co-creators of the Ukalaliens® Songbook, Kate & Steve developed a fun, simple method based on their own experience of learning to play in the oral tradition.
