Have you tried to change your habits and failed? Don’t beat yourself up, it’s part of the human condition.
You tried muscling that habit down with willpower and it didn’t work. It’s not because you’re a willpower weakling No, it’s because you’re only focusing on the action piece of the habit.
A quick explanation is this: Habits are the automatic behaviors created by the myriad distractions of the world. They are patterns of the subconscious mind, which account for 95% of our thinking.
Changing a habit with just the action piece is like a tug of war with 95% of the team on the other side. You always get pulled back.
To change a habit, you’ve got to change your beliefs, thoughts, words, and emotions.
In this presentation, you’ll learn how to recognize and change many of the parts that come with a habit so you can go on to live your most awesome life.
Longtime Seaside resident, Jenn Visser, has a background in health coaching, nutrition, and holistic wellness.
She specializes in the psychology of habits.
Jenn is also the founder and owner of the Healthy Hub Wellness Center.
