Beginning June 11th and running through August 27th the Seaside Public Library will be exhibiting original paintings by local artist Kate Besse. The show titled, “Paintings by Kate Besse” will be presented in the Library foyer and Community Room.
Kate Besse is a passionate artist who loves to create abstract paintings using geometric patterns, with a Mid-century modern flair. She has lived in Surf Pines full-time since 2016 and completed construction of her art studio in 2021. Kate uses color pencils, watercolor, and acrylic paint on paper, canvas, panels, and plywood. Her goal is to create art that is both beautiful and thought-provoking. Kate believes that art should be a form of play, and her hope is that her work inspires others to be creative and explore their own imagination.
