Mission Statement

The freedom to know is the foundation of democracy. The Seaside Public Library dedicates itself to collecting and distributing an array of information and ideas that is diverse in material, varied in formats and rich in viewpoint, reflecting the multi-cultural character of the community and world it serves. The Seaside Library offers equal access to its resources and encouragement in their use so that enlightenment, literacy, and life-long learning may flourish.

The Collection

The Seaside Public Library offers the latest, best-selling books, non-fiction, classics, DVDs, magazines, newspapers, Kindles, audiobooks, e-books, and more.

Research Tools

The Library provides free access to newspapers, periodicals, and information resources through our subscription databases. For those items not available in our collection, patrons may find what they need through interlibrary loan.

Internet Service and Other Technology

The library has 16 computer workstations equipped with Microsoft Office and high-speed internet access. The children’s area has 2 tablets preloaded with books and educational links. Patrons with laptops, smart phones, and tablets can access the internet through the library’s free, wireless connection. Copying, scanning, and printing services are also available at the library.
