On Saturday, May 6th, 2023 the Friends of the Seaside Public Library will welcome origami instructor Yuki Martin, who will be offering a Mother’s Day themed class for the community. The event will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room. Sign-ups will be required for this event. Please contact the Library to secure your spot.

Let's celebrate your mom with handmade origami crafts! Origami Instructor Yuki Martin will show you how, step-by-step. Featured models may include a dress, flower and more. No folding experience necessary.

Yuki Martin learned origami as a child growing up in Japan, and only came back to it as an adult. She is passionate about how a mere piece of paper can be folded into infinite possibilities. Yuki has taught at numerous schools, libraries, camps, art organizations, elderly facilities, and events around Portland.
