On Saturday, January 27th, 2024 the Friends of the Seaside Public Library will welcome author Cheryl Gill, who will be giving a talk and presentation on her book, “A Very Simple Estate Planning Guide.” The event will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the Community Room and there will be a time after the talk for a Q&A.

The book simplifies estate planning and guides the reader in an easy-to-understand style divided into two parts. The first part empowers the reader with knowledge and real-life examples, and then the second part shows how to use that knowledge to determine needs to create an estate plan based on those needs. Also, as part of planning ahead includes organizing essential information for loved ones, the book provides forms to record this information, as well as an Executor Guide to help manage an estate.

Cheryl Gill is a local Portland-based author and when not motivating others to get estate planning off their “to do” list, she spends time with friends & family, near and far, explores the PNW on land and water, leads a cemetery association, and falls deep into the rabbit hole of genealogy research.
